The boardwalks take you past these indentations that have been dug up by the archeologists, but put back to the original looking condition. This area was the iron foundry, which was situated by the stream. They find bog iron, which forms under the top layer of the ground and the Vikings melted it and used it for tools, repairing their boats, fishing hooks, etc.
